Families of FANA is a non-profit organization that has been providing assistance to US families who wish to adopt from the Foundation for the Assistance of Abandoned Children in Bogotá, Colombia. The organization has a strong presence in Western New York, where there are over 400 FANA kids. PRO Transportation is proud to be a supporter of FANA and their efforts.
To support the orphanage in Colombia, Families of FANA organizes multiple fundraisers throughout the year, including a golf tournament and a 5K walk/run. These events not only help raise funds but also serve to bring the local community together to support the cause.
Families of FANA also hosts a week-long Spanish camp each summer which is open to FANA members’ children. The camp offers an immersive experience in the Spanish language and Colombian and South American culture. Children can learn from experienced teachers and participate in fun activities, such as dancing and cooking Colombian food. The week culminates with a Friday Night Fiesta, which provides an opportunity for families to celebrate the children’s achievements and connect with each other.
Through its efforts, Families of FANA has been able to establish strong connections with other organizations, friends, and families in the local Latino community. The organization is proud to have made a difference in the lives of children in Bogotá and it continues to work towards its mission with the support of its members and partners.
PRO Transportation is proud to support Families of FANA in its endeavors. The partnership between PRO Transportation and Families of FANA is a testament to the importance of community involvement and collaboration in making a positive impact on society.
